In Reading Room there are 20 seats for readers. They may use books including encyclopedia, dictionary and information publishers and scientific literature of every area of knowledge with taking into consideration especially pedagogy, psychology and sociology. Readers have access to 100 titles of subscribed periodicals and also computer with access to the Internet. Reading Room offers also possibility to use self-serviced photocopier.

Staff of department deals with:

• making the collection available for everyone who needs it
• keeping files on different subjects
• accumulation and making available bibliographic lists on different subjects
• conducting lessons of reader and media education
• giving methodological advice to teachers –librarians
• giving library and bibliography information
• conducting Self-educating Team with help of teachers – librarians of school libraries.
